High Heart Rate And Palpitations

What Are Hand Tremors
Tremors are involuntary muscle contractions that cause shaking movements. Tremor can lead to shaking hands, legs, head, and even a shaky voice. Different diseases, most notably, Parkinsons disease, can cause hand tremor because they damage the parts of the brain that control movement. Other causes include an overactive thyroid, chronic alcohol use, or anxiety.
You may notice a hand tremor when you have trouble holding objects or you notice a change in handwritingor when someone else notices the shaking movements.
Tremors can look different depending on the condition that causes it. These differences can often help diagnose the cause of the tremor.

Remember earlier when I said that Janice had a glutathione deficiency? High homocysteine is a sign of glutathione deficiency and so is high levels of potassium in the serum. I love it when various markers on blood tests agree!
Interestingly enough, glutathione is the main protector of red blood cells . Red blood cells contain hemoglobin which carries oxygen. Oxygen is negatively charged which means that it can cause free radical damage.
Red blood cells live 120 days. After they die, they are broken down and recycled by the liver. While they are alive, they carry oxygen throughout the entire body.
A glutathione deficiency can cause free radical damage to the red blood cells and cause them to die early.
When red blood cells die too early, it can cause a condition where people can have immature red blood cells circulating in the blood instead of mature red blood cells that are capable of carrying higher levels of oxygen.
Doesnt this sound like anemia? Anemia is when you dont have enough oxygen carrying components in the blood. Premature destruction of red blood cells can cause hemolytic anemia .
So yes, a glutathione deficiency can cause anemia!
Guess what? Type 2 Diabetes and Insulin Resistance can also cause high potassium levels. Potassium follows sugar into the cells. When someone is a Type 2 Diabetic , sugar wont go into the cells properly and stay in the blood. Therefore, potassium wont be able to get into the cells and can go high in the blood serum.

Tremors And Parkinsons Disease
Tremors are a major symptom of Parkinsons disease, presenting in about 75% of cases.
When a person has the disease, nerve cells in the basal ganglia begin to die, producing less dopamine.
The basal ganglia need dopamine to form connections between neurons. A reduction in this hormone leads to fewer connections and interrupted communication within the brain, meaning movements do not occur as smoothly in the body. Additionally, tremors and other movement symptoms, such as jerking, can develop.
While pill-rolling tremors may sometimes be a symptom of other neurological conditions, such as multiple sclerosis, they are almost always an indicator of Parkinsons disease.
As pill-rolling tremors are most commonly a symptom of Parkinsons disease, the most common risk factors for this type of tremor are the same as those for the disease. These include:
- Genetics: A genetic predisposition is likely in at least some cases of Parkinsons disease. About

How Is Hyperthyroidism Diagnosed

A potential downside of the surgical approach is that there is a small risk of injury to structures near the thyroid gland in the neck, including the nerve to the voice box . The incidence of this is about 1%. Other possible complications include hypocalcemia and airway obstruction, though both occur in under 5% of surgeries.
Concerns about long hospitalizations following thyroid surgery have been all but alleviated over the past few years, since many surgeons are now sending their patients home the day following surgery. Of course, this depends on the underlying health of the patient and their age, among other factors. Some surgeons now are even treating partial thyroidectomy as an outpatient procedure where healthy patients go home a few hours after the surgery.
Like radioactive iodine treatment, thyroid surgery often results in hypothyroidism. This is true even when only part of the thyroid is removed, called a lobectomy.
When hypothyroidism occurs after treatment of an overactive thyroid gland, it can be effectively treated with levothyroxine, a synthetic form of thyroid hormone thats usually taken as one small pill a day. When used in the correct dose, levothyroxine can be safely taken for the remainder of a persons life.
