Fighting Parkinsons One Song At A Time

Tremble Clefs is a fun, and FREE therapeutic singing program for people living with Parkinsons and their care partners. We are supported entirely by generous donations from friends, families and a loving community of donors and sponsors just like you. The weekly program includes a professional choral director with live accompanists that allow members to practice voice exercises and movement-to-music in a rotating cycle of familiar pop songs. Members can perform with the chorus out in the community for seniors care centers, veterans’ homes, support groups, and charities.

Pasd Microcast #65 Jeff On Running With Alex In The Dolomites

Parkinson

The 2022 Power Over Parkinson’s Dolomite Mountain Trek in Italy is over, but the hikes and events of that week will stay with all of us for a lifetime. I had the most incredible experience hiking for the week with Alex Trepte, one of the four people on the trek with Parkinson’s.Alex has this thing he runs at the end of every hike. And for someone who occasionally has issues just walking with Parkinson’s, this is one of the most powerful things I’ve ever seen.I try to put it into words in this short episode, but please click the link below to watch the short, 20-second video of Alex and I running the last few meters of the last hike on the last day.Jeffhttps://player.vimeo.com/video/754336046To read Alex and Becky’s story and why they did this, their second Power Over Parkinson’s Trek, and to donate to the Parkinson’s Association of San Diego in honor of Alex, click here:https://parkinsonsassociation.org/donations/alexander-becky-trepte/

Pasd Microcast #64 We Survived The Snow

We survived our first hike in snowy, icy, and very cold conditions. On this day, the whole team rose to the occasion dressed properly, waling carefully, helping each other, we made a steep descent and arrived at our first coffee stop of the day. With this team, coffee are always a welcome treat after a hard hike. This trek is a fundraiser for the Parkinson’s Association of San Diego so. If you are so inclined, feel free to click here or on the link below to donate on behalf of one of the hikers. All the donations stay within the San Diego Parkinson’s community…all the expenses for this trek were paid by the individual hikers. Thanks for listening and we look forward to sharing this trek to Italy’s Dolomite Mountains through these short podcasts.https://parkinsonsassociation.org/sponsor-a-hiker/
