Pemf Therapy For Parkinson’s Disease

Undergoing Pulsed Magnetic Field Therapy To Cure Parkinsons

Relieve Symptoms of Parkinsons Disease with PEMF Therapy

All living organisms on Earth are continuously exposed to magnetic fields, whether they result from the planets natural phenomena or are produced by electrical appliances humans use daily. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that our well-being is significantly affected by electromagnetic waves.

When the bodys EM balance is damaged, this can lead to severe health issues. But if it is carefully maintained at the cellular level through pulsed electromagnetic stimulation, abnormal functioning of neurotransmitters can be avoided. This is precisely how PEMF therapy for treatment of Parkinsons works.

PEMF therapy is a way of directing EM pulses to some parts of the patients body in right frequencies. Its main idea comes down to restoring the individuals natural EM balance and facilitating the transport of ions and nutrients. As a result, improved cell activity contributes to healing processes and ensures the better functioning of organs.

Given the fact that no cure has been found for Parkinsons yet, PEMF therapy is deemed to be one of the best options for patients who live with this pathology. It neither calls for going under the knife nor requires the use of synthetic medications. It is only regular courses of EM targeting that you need to increase your chances of relieving Parkinsons disease symptoms. That means you can now manage manifestations of the disorder without facing surgical risks and undesired side effects caused by the pharmaceutical treatment.

The Way Out Is Around The Corner

Yes, Parkinsons disease cant be completely cured, but its progression can be slowed down. At ALMAGIA International®, we know that for sure and provide you with the solution you need. Explore our PEMF devices which are designed to be used for at-home therapy. Its an alternative treatment for Parkinsons that have worked for many people so far!

Far Infrared Mat Therapy

Every Healthy Wave Mat is based around Far Infrared Heat Therapy through the use of crystals including amethyst, jade, & tourmaline. When heated these crystals create far infrared heat that penetrates 3-8 inches into the body. This far infrared heat can improve blood flow & micro circulation where applied. It can also help temporarily relieve minor muscle, joint pain and stiffness. This relief of joint pain has been associated with helping arthritis, muscle spasms, minor strains, and improved relaxation.

Parkinsons Disease is a progressive, neurologically degenerative disease that affects 10 million people worldwide, with 200,000 new diagnoses made annually.

Parkinsons Disease is essentially a breakdown of neurons in the brain that results in low dopamine levels causing a wide variety of symptoms. One of the more common signs is a resting tremor in the arms and hands, even with the absence of voluntary movement. These tremors can also affect the facial area like the jaw or lips. Patients with Parkinsons also have a rigid posture or hypertonicity. The paraspinal muscles in the back get very tight. Theres an overall increase in tone, and movement in general is quite slow or limited for a patient dealing with Parkinsons. The Parkinsons patient rarely smiles and blinking of the eyes are common occurrences. While walking, its typical to see a loss of swinging of the arms and a shuffling of the gait with an overall flexed posture of the body and extremities.

Most patients suffering from Parkinsons Disease have damage to a part of the brain called the basal ganglia. The basal ganglia is associated with a variety of bodily functions including control of voluntary motor movements, executive functions, learning, and emotions. The basal ganglia also houses dopamine neuro-transmitters. When there is damage to the basal ganglia, dopamine levels drop in the brain, and Parkinson type symptoms can become apparent.

Pemf Therapy For Parkinsons Treatment

Parkinsons disease is a brain disease . Parkinsons disease symptoms can be different, and for each person, Parkinsons disease acts differently. The disease is characterized by a progressive motor disorder that severely affects the daily life of the patients.

Recently researcher Moniek Munneke of Radboudumc developed a procedure known as Electromyography charted the connection between the brain and muscles using magnetic stimulation. When a magnetic field is generated above the brain region that drives movements, this leads to involuntary contraction of the muscles on the other side of the body than where the stimulation was given. The effect of magnet stimulation on the muscle tension can be measured by electromyography . Moniek Munneke: If we can move the paralysed muscle through the external stimulus, this means that the nerve pathways between the brain and the muscles are still intact. With this information, we can finally help patients with an expectation of recovery. It is imperative in this technique where you stick the electrodes to the skin for the EMG measurement. Through our research, we now know enough to test this method for use in Parkinsons recovery.

Moniek then went on to do further research covered in her dissertation, MEASURING AND MODULATING THE BRAIN WITH NON-INVASIVE STIMULATION, an excellent read for doctors and PEMF device developers.

The 8 Hidden Causes Your Doctor Will Not Tell You About Your Parkinsons Condition

The word Parkinsons can send a shiver down anyones spine with the impending fear of total neuro-degeneration and future disability, both mentally and physically.

The real question is.do you even have Parkinsons disease? Have you been told its Parkinsonian syndrome, multiple systems atrophy, essential tremor, or cerebellar ataxia? Or some other neurological problem? Either way, you need to find answers as to why your brain is deteriorating and degenerating so you can have a plan to stop this from worsening and possibly reverse some of these symptoms.

Many Parkinsons patients are diagnosed very late, when in fact early soft signs were apparent 10 to 30 years prior to the diagnosis.

Dr. Russell Blaylock, the renowned Neuro-Surgeon, states that the drug mainstay treatment that most patients will receive will almost guarantee they will get worse in 2-5 years, and it even appears to speed the deterioration! Get worse and speed the deterioration doesnot sound like great odds.

In our office we have identified 8 hidden root functional causes of trans-neuronal degeneration/brain degeneration that must be accurately measured to get a proper root functional cause diagnosis. Once we have an accurate root functional cause diagnosis, we can then design a custom treatment plan aimed at getting you lasting resultsto prevent further decline and restore function for many patients that qualify.

How Can PEMF Therapy Help with Parkinsonâs Disease ?

Vadala et al stated that electromagnetic therapy is a non-invasive and safe approach for the management of several pathological conditions including neurodegenerative diseases. Parkinson’s disease is a neurodegenerative pathology caused by abnormal degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the ventral tegmental area and substantia nigra pars compacta in the midbrain resulting in damage to the basal ganglia. Electromagnetic therapy has been extensively used in the clinical setting in the form of transcranial magnetic stimulation, repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, high-frequency transcranial magnetic stimulation and pulsed electromagnetic field therapy that can also be used in the domestic setting. The authors discussed the mechanisms and therapeutic applications of electromagnetic therapy to alleviate motor and non-motor deficits that characterize PD. However, there is a lack of evidence regarding the effectiveness of high-frequency pulsed electromagnetic stimulation in the treatment of patients with PD.

Furthermore, an UpToDate review on “Nonpharmacologic management of Parkinson disease” does not mention electromagnetic stimulation as a management tool.

How Does Pemf Therapy Work

Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy is the application of safe1, non-invasive pulsating magnetic fields for regenerative and functional improvement therapy purposes. Applying pulsed electromagnetic fields to the brain boosts cellular oxygenation by increasing circulation to the brain and by stimulating brain mitochondria . These changes result in faster and increased natural cellular regeneration and repair.

Pulsed magnetic therapy devices, in general, have evolved after morethan 6 decades of research and thousands of studies and hundreds of PEMF clinicaltrials. A number of terms have been used to describe brain stimulating magneticfields T-PEMF , PEMF, TMS , rTMS and EMS. All are similar technologies and vary byintensity and coil design. Therefore, when we study the available research ontreating Parkinsons disease using PEMF therapy, we consider the studies of allthe above electromagnetic therapy technologies.

Mechanisms And Therapeutic Applications Of Electromagnetic Therapy In Parkinsons Disease

Here are relevant excerpts from this review:

“In October 2008 the Food and Drug Administration approved the use of PEMF therapy for treatment of major depressive disorder in PD patients who failed to achieve satisfactory improvement from very high dosages of antidepressant medications. Several studies reported PEMF therapy improved cognitive functions and motor symptoms. For example, an investigation involving three elderly PD patients with cognitive impairment assessed the effect of PEMF therapy on a disorder of the body image in which the patient perceives a part or parts of his body as disproportionately large. After receiving PEMF therapy, PD patients drawings showed reversal of macrosomatognosia with reduction of the right parietal lobe dysfunction.”

“PEMF therapy applied to a 49-year-old male PD patient with stage 3 disease, as assessed by Hoehn and Yahr scale, resulted in a marked improvement in motor and non-motor symptoms such as mood swings, sleeplessness, pain and sexual and cognitive dysfunctions, suggesting that PEMF therapy should be tested in large cohorts of PD patients as monotherapy and should also be considered as a treatment modality for de novo diagnosed PD patients. PEMF therapy was also effective in improving visuospatial deficits in four PD patients. Moreover, PEMF therapy improved PD-associated freezing in 3 PD patients”.

The Brain’s Ways Of Healing

these types of therapies calm the brain, reducing noisy signals and hence those busy, anxious thoughts which are indeed known to be the problem in Parkinson’s Disease.I am intrigued to experiment further to see if even better results might be obtained with two of the Miramate devices, placing one set of stacked coils on each shoulder at the same time.

What Condition Can Pemf Improve

Pin on Parkinsons Disease

Doctors have been claiming since the mid-1800s that electricity could help heal bones, but it was not until 100 years later that these claims were studied and verified.

The earliest studies in the use of PEMF therapy were fort his purpose, and since that time, we have learned a great deal about what it can do to heal the body.

Electromagnetic fields are generated from a change in the magnetic field of an object.

To create the electromagnetic pulses necessary for PEMF therapy, an electrical current is passed through a metal coil, which generates a magnetic field.

When a magnetic field is created using a changing electrical current, it is referred to as an electromagnetic field.

Pulses of this electromagnetic energy are emitted from devices in various wavelengths, frequencies, and intensities to heal the body.

PEMF has been clinically proved to be effective in over 200 conditions, here few of them,

Pemf Improves Levodopa Response

The study named Treatment with AC pulsed electromagnetic fields improves the response to levodopa in Parkinsons disease included one 52-year-old Parkinsons patient.

The patient was fully medicated, and classified as severely disabled due to PD.

After his treatment with low-frequency picotesla PEMF, he became completely asymptomatic.

His treatment consisted of biweekly transcranial sessions.

Before his PEMF treatments, his Parkinsons medication was only 50% effective, decreasing in efficacy as the day progressed.

For example, his morning medication was 90% effective, his afternoon dose was 50% effective, and his evening dose was just 30% effective.

However, after ten weeks of PEMF stimulation, the patient experienced a 40% improvement in his medications effectiveness, without any noticeable deterioration toward the end of the day.

The scientists who conducted the study claim that these results can be explained by the fact that PEMF therapy improved the patients response to levodopa.

Levodopa is an amino acid naturally found in food, and our body converts it into dopamine in the brain.

Because of that, its crucial for Parkinsonian patients.

The decline in response to levodopa is indicative of the progression of the disease, which is why these results are important and encouraging.

They indicate that intermittent application of PEMF stimulation could stop, or at least slow, the progression of Parkinsons disease.

Parkinsons Disease Treatment At The Symptomatic Level

Symptoms of Parkinsons disorder may be different for each patient, in both their severity and duration. Typically, they include:

  • Tremors. Uncontrollable shaking of limbs is a classic symptom of the disease. It often occurs in hands even if they are at rest.
  • Slow movements. The mobility disorder is not something that may go unnoticed. People with Parkinsons may have trouble walking or getting out of a bed.
  • Muscle pain. Stiffness is another thing that may undermine a patients range of motion and make movements painful.
  • Poor posture. Many people who have Parkinsons look hunched because of the posture problems. It is also a hallmark feature of the disease that is often accompanied by abnormal gait and balance.
  • Handwriting and speech changes. Altered letters and slurred voice are those signs that tell a lot about your health. In patients with Parkinsons, changes in writing or speaking are very noticeable.
  • Sleep disturbances. Some people with Parkinsons report that they have sleep problems. They include nightmares, restless legs syndrome, and daytime sleepiness.

When using PEMF therapy for Parkinsons treatment, you can expect marked improvements in your general well-being. By stimulating cell activity and defense mechanisms of the body, EM pulses will help you relieve the symptoms described above in one way or another. To make things clear, regular courses of this therapy can result in better mobility, reduced tremors, improved mental acuity, and more.

Scientists Compared The Human Brain To A Huge Supercomputer With Hard

Neuroplasticity

For many years scientists have likened the humanbrain to a hugesupercomputer, a physiologically static organ with hard-wired circuits. It was believed that sections of the brain were responsible for certain processes and if they were damaged these processes were permanently affected. For many years patients were treated this way. Dr. Norman Doidge in his book The Brain that Changes Itself writes the following:

The scientific mind-set at the time assumed that the brains structure is fixed, and that our senses, the avenues by which experience gets into our minds are hardwired. This idea, which still has many adherents, is called localizationism. Its closely related to the idea that the brain is like a complex machine, made up of parts, each of which performs a special mental function and exists in a genetically predetermined or hardwired location hence the name. A brain that is hardwired, and in which each mental function has a strict location, leaves no room for plasticity if one of those parts was damaged, nothing could be done to replace it after all, machines dont grow new parts. . The Brain That Changes Itself: Stories of Personal Triumph from the frontiers of brain science. p13-14)

However, studies into development of the brain have uncovered the ability of the brain to rewire itself, termed neuroplasticity. The brain can remap itself after injury, even in adults.

He writes about Dr Merzenichs theories on neuroplasticity:
