Does Restore Gold Work For Parkinson’s

Problem #3 Neural Inflammation And Oxidation

Parkinson’s GroundBreaking Research – Restore Gold

Inflammatory responses contribute to the perpetuation of neurodegeneration in Parkinsonss disease. The brain contains immune cells called microglia, which are known to be activated in Parkinsons disease . Upon activation, microglia release inflammatory cytokines that can spread to nearby healthy neurons and cause degeneration. Dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra, the brain region most affected by Parkinsons disease, express receptors for an inflammatory cytokine called Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha , which suggests that excess TNF-alpha released by nearby activated microglia may damage nigral dopaminergic cells.

Elevated cytokines in the brain of those with Parkinsons disease is a consequence of neurodegeneration . In experimental models, exposure to the neurotoxin MPTP leads to death of dopaminergic neurons. Interestingly, in monkeys, inflammation is increased even years after initial exposure to MPTP . This suggests that inflammation, once initiated, has long-term consequences in Parkinsons disease.

As dopaminergic cells succumb to either environmentally or genetically induced mitochondrial dysfunction, they release free radicals. These free radicals then activate nearby microglial cells, which in turn, excrete inflammatory cytokines that bind to and damage nearby dopaminergic neurons. This positive feedback loop may continue over years or even decades and slowly contribute to the loss of dopaminergic neurons that leads to Parkinson symptoms .

Has Anyone Ever Heard Of Or Tried Restore Gold

Hi Lee,

I experienced results between 2-10 days, mostly cognitive, but my best improvements were about 3-4 months in. I noticed continued improvement for about 9 months. After that, things stabilized. I have maintained the improvements and have not progressed any further. It will be three years on Nov. 27th. I am doing better than when I was first diagnosed still, no PD meds. I started taking RG only six months after my diagnosis however, and I am younger than most . Any digestive distress, like heartburn or diarrhea? I have had a history of GERD, so I have to take more RG capsules in the morning and noon so that I don’t have to take them before bed, when most of my heartburn can occur.

I started taking Restore Gold almost three weeks ago. In three days I noticed a difference. I was thinking this is too soon to tell if it’s the supplements or my wishful thinking. Three weeks later and I’m still very pleased with the marked difference I’m experiencing with my arms and hands. I have much smoother and stronger use of my arms and hands now as compared to immediately prior to taking Restore Gold. I still have a lot of dyskinesia in my right leg, but my neurologist says that is caused by my carbidopa levodopa medication.

Is it homeopathic?? Or is it a Prescribed drug?

What Are The Signs And Symptoms Of Parkinsons Disease

Symptoms of Parkinsons progress slowly and incrementally, often taking years to advance from one stage to the next.

As mentioned, the variability of symptoms is largely credited to the area of the brain affected by PD, meaning the following issues may differ proportionally from person to person:

  • Tremors
  • Hypophonia
  • Micrographia

Signs of Parkinsons Disease include difficulty sleeping, loss of smell, dizziness or fainting, and hunched posture.

The postural concern brings us to the issue of secondary problems associated with PD.

When progressed enough to restrict mobility to a wheelchair or a walker, PD can indirectly worsen tissue rigidity in weight-bearing joints important to healthy mobility, like the hips, knees, and vertebral joints.

Confinement to a wheelchair also invites skin integrity problems and general cardiovascular health decline.

Some of the signs and symptoms above occur as part of the normal aging process, which is why physicians pay close attention to the severity and frequency of the symptoms before officially diagnosing anyone with PD.

Foods Containing Nutrients That People May Be Deficient In

Some research suggests that people with Parkinsons often have certain nutrient deficiencies, including deficiencies in iron, vitamin B1, vitamin C, zinc, and vitamin D.

The above study points out that some of these deficiencies may be associated with neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration, which are key factors in Parkinsons.

Therefore, people with Parkinsons may wish to consume more of the following foods.

Foods containing iron

The following foods are good sources of iron:

  • liver
  • certain fortified foods

Foods Containing Saturated Fat And Cholesterol

Some studies suggest that dietary fat intake may increase the risk of Parkinsons.

Although having a higher intake of cholesterol can elevate a persons Parkinsons risk, having a higher intake of polyunsaturated fatty acids may reduce the risk.

Therefore, a person with Parkinsons may wish to reduce their intake of cholesterol to help control the symptoms of the condition. They may also wish to reduce the amount of saturated fat in their diet.

However, further studies are required to explore the link between dietary fat and Parkinsons.

How Does Cbd Help Parkinsons Disease

To even partially address the smattering of seemingly unrelated symptoms that PD patients have to deal with, potentially effective supplements like CBD must be multifaceted in their approach.

Indeed, CBD has been suggested by more than a few early findings to combat Parkinsons Disease using neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory effects, modulating overly excited neurons, and working directly through the endocannabinoid signaling system.

Bump Up Your Fiber Intake

A high-fiber diet is a proven way to avoid constipation, a common problem for people with PD.

Parkinsons can slow down the intestines and cause constipation, Dr. Gostkowski says. Fiber helps keep things moving. There are plenty of high-fiber foods out there, so choose your favorites. Women should aim for 25 grams of fiber per day, and men should get 38 grams.

Can I Take Restore Gold With My Parkinsons Medication

See Eight Parkinson’s Patients that Reversed 3-5 Years of Symptoms in Three Months. How?

Yes. While we always recommend consulting your medical professional, Restore Gold is considered compatible with typical Parkinsons medications such as L-dopa , Dopamine Agonists , or MOA-B Inhibitors . For those taking MAOI class antidepressants, consulting your medical professional prior to taking Restore Gold is strongly encouraged due to possible interactions with the ingredient L-Tyrosine. For those taking thyroid medication, it is suggested to take Restore Gold no earlier than 2-4 hours after your thyroid medication as the ingredient L-tyrosine can reduce the effectiveness of the medication if taken too close in proximity.

What Has Happened To Me

My quality of life was deteriorating due to my neurological issues. Along with poor fine motor skills on my left side and slowness of movement, I was constantly fatigued. This was a fatigue that no amount of quality sleep could ever satisfy. Additionally, I had internal tremors . I thought for sure there must be some kind of natural solution to help cure what ailed me one that did not involve prescription drugs.

My initial approach was to go to physical and occupational therapy and to continue my exercise regimen . This plan did not seem to slow disease progression or alleviate my symptoms. My depression and lack of motivation were also hindering me.

Doctor’s Articles On Parkinson’s Retracted

By Joe Carlson andBrooks Johnson Order Reprint

For more than 20 years, Dr. Martin C. Hinz has been an advocate and researcher in the use of nutritional products and urinalysis for people suffering from Parkinson’s disease, depression and other maladies.

The 67-year-old Duluth native claimed in his most recent paper that the costly amino-acid treatments he says he invented work better than gold-standard therapy prescribed by neurology specialists.

But questions about that work have surfaced in recent months after the owner of Dove Medical Press, an academic publisher of peer-reviewed scientific and medical journals, retracted all six of Hinz’s articles on Parkinson’s. The six were among 20 papers on various diseases and lab techniques retracted because Hinz and his co-authors failed to produce raw data and medical ethics paperwork after not fully disclosing his and his family’s business interests in sales of the costly pills.

It isn’t the first time Hinz’s theories and methods have drawn scrutiny and criticism.

In 2005 and 2011 he received warnings from the Food and Drug Administration for marketing untested nutrients as drugs. Last year, the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice reprimanded him for false advertising, unethical conduct and fee splitting. The board restored Hinz’s Minnesota medical license to full standing in November after he paid a $7,188 civil penalty.

“We treat nothing,” Hinz wrote in an e-mail. “We claim to treat nothing with nutrients.”

Parkinson’s Disease Symptoms: Life Expectancy

Even though Parkinson’s disease is a serious, progressive condition, it is not considered a fatal illness. People who have Parkinson’s disease usually have the same average life expectancy as people without the disease.

But when the disease is in its advanced stages, Parkinson’s symptoms can lead to life-threatening complications, including:

  • Falls that lead to fractured bones
  • Pneumonia
  • Choking

Thinking about the progression of Parkinson’s disease can be frightening. But proper treatments can help you live a full, productive life for years to come. And researchers hope to one day find ways to halt the progression of Parkinson’s and restore lost functioning.

How Many People Are Affected By Parkinsons Disease

The Parkinsons Foundation reports that 60,000 Americans are diagnosed with PD annually, and the total number of diagnosed people is approaching one million nationally and ten million globally.

Also of note is the diseases affinity for men, who are affected at one and a half times the rate that women are.

Though researchers havent been able to find a cure, they use large-scale prevalence studies to determine who has the disease, where it is most concentrated, and how resources can be best distributed.

Depending on the precise area of the brain affected and the progression of the disease, PD sufferers can experience an entire spectrum of symptoms beyond movement issues.

Antioxidants: Vitamin C And E Mediterranean Diet

Since there is evidence relating oxidative damage of nerve cells to PD, some researchers are studying antioxidants:

  • A 2002 study focused on the potential antioxidant Coenzyme Q10 , which is believed to play an important role in mitochondria health. Mitochondria are the “powerhouses” of a cell. Some scientists think that abnormalities of mitochondrial function may play a role in PD.

In 2011, a large clinical trial studying the potential benefits of CoQ10 on reducing the progression of early PD was stopped because a mid-study analysis suggested that there was no improvement in the people taking CoQ10 in comparison to those receiving treatment. Researchers decided that continuing the study would have shown an extremely low likelihood of CoQ10 showing any benefit in delaying the progression of early PD.

Scientists have also examined Vitamin E, Vitamin C and health foods to evaluate oxidative properties. Vitamin E can fight damage in the brain caused by free radicals and has been suggested to lower the risk of PD. However, researchers conducted an extensive and thorough study more than 10 years ago and failed to find any evidence that Vitamin E slows the progression of PD or manages symptoms. Since Vitamin E has few side effects, many people with PD continue to take it in high doses of 400 IU or more.

I Cant Fight This Alone But Drugs Are Not An Option

In October 2016, I attended a week-long workshop that focused on a plant-based diet. My diet needed a serious overhaul. The time was right to see if changing my eating habits would make a difference in the quality of my life. I was already a vegetarian, but I still loved my dairy products. I also loved sugar, pasta, and bread. These food items are known to potentially cause inflammatory responses in the body. Also, I have read that the neurodegeneration observed in PD is accompanied by inflammatory processes. If I added these two theories together, I believed a change to a gluten-free, no-sugar-added, vegan diet might help my PD symptoms.

How Parkinsons Disease Affects Your Brain

Weve already covered the macro-level concepts as it regards how Parkinsons works, but everyday consumers and researchers alike need to learn the underlying mechanisms involved in both a healthy and Parkinsons-affected brain in order to appreciate how therapeutic agents like cannabidiol can help.

How Your Brain Is Supposed to Work

The billions of nerve cells in your brain use cable-like extensions called axons to transmit impulses from one neuron to the next.

When an outgoing impulse or message reaches the end of an axon, it approaches a gap between the sending and receiving nerves known as the synapse.

The impulse is then ferried across the synapse by a specific chemical messenger, or neurotransmitterdopamine in this instance.

Once the dopamine accomplishes its job of getting the impulse across the synapse to the receiving neuron, it is broken down by enzymes.

How Your Brain Works with Parkinsons Disease

In the case of PD, the cells that produce dopamine die off for an unknown reason.

When the dopamine deficiency reaches 80 percent, the more readily recognizable symptoms of tremors and rigidity begin to manifest as communication between neurons is seriously impaired.

The immune system activates microglia in response to the rampant destruction of dopamine-producing cells microglia are a type of immune cell that cause inflammation and further damage to neurons when overstimulated.

How does cannabidiol counteract these harmful developments, you might be wondering?

I Cant Fight This Alone So Drugs Are An Option

One Therapy for Parkinson

In March 2016, I finally agreed to try Azilect , a prescription medication. Two weeks later, my symptoms had not improved and I felt worse . So, off that medication and on to the next one, ropinirole. This time, it only took a few hours on the medication for me to become extremely sick with vomiting and a pounding headache. I immediately discontinued that medication.

Both my neurologist and primary care physician thought I should focus on treating my depression symptoms with a prescription medication. In August 2016, I tried Viibyrd , an antidepressant. Within a few weeks, I was suffering from intense, gory nightmares every night with no improvement in my symptoms. At this point, I decided my PD symptoms may not be such a bad thing, and I refused to try any more medications.

Why Are People Reporting Results With Restore Gold

Restore Gold is unique. For the first time, instead of focusing on simply one drug or natural compound, the seven top supplement ingredients popularized in recent medical literature relating to Parkinsons disease have been combined together. Parkinsons disease is correlated with mitochondrial dysfunction, alpa-synuclein aggregation, inflammation, and neuro-oxidation. Each ingredient in Restore Gold has been studied in peer reviewed medical journals for one or more of these common problems in Parkinsons disease.
